Spam Filters
What's an e-mail spam filter? How does one function? How can you enable spam filtering?
An email filter is a software application that prevents undesired email messages from entering a given inbox. A large percentage of the email traffic around the globe involves spam email messages: offers for pills or cash, false bank notifications, and so on. That is why, it is really important to use email filters to avoid not only unsolicited bulk messages, but also any chance of being swindled in some way. Spam filters detect different things, so as to ensure higher levels of security – certain words or the frequency with which they surface in the text, the sender’s address, or the IP of the sender’s SMTP mail server. Web hosting companies often use the services of 3rd-party spam-monitoring organizations that offer up-to-date databases in order to make spam filtering better and simpler without affecting legitimate email messages, even if they comprise suspicious words.

Spam Filters in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you use a
semi-dedicated server plan from our company and if you create one or more email addresses with any of the domain names hosted in the account, you will be able to enable the advanced, 5-level SpamAssassin spam filter that we provide and keep all unsolicited messages out of your inbox. This functionality is accessible through the Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel and it can be activated or deactivated for any email account whenever you want. You can also adjust the security level with several mouse clicks in case junk emails still enter your inbox or the filter begins deleting authentic emails. As you can select if the spam should be deleted straight away or delivered to some other mailbox, you can create spam@domain.com, for instance, and view all filtered emails there, so as to make sure that you won’t omit an email that you require. The messages that the spam filter permits to go through will still be received in your inbox.
